ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Matt Manning started off in
publishing as a proofreader for an accounting firm in New York after graduating
from Cornell University with a degree in Asian Studies. From there he moved to
media directory firm Oxbridge Communications, starting as a part-time data
editor and leaving as publisher six years later after having tripled the
company's revenues.
Matt continued creating successful new products,
first as a consultant and then as a senior editor at college and career
publisher Peterson's, where he launched several new consumer reference titles.
He moved to Texas and crossed over to electronic reference products to launch
the highly successful Hoover's Online company information service for Hoover's,
Inc. For the last five years Matt has acted as a new product development
consultant to other content providers and has been a frequent speaker and
writer on business models for information products. Matt lives in Austin,
Texas, with his wife and son.
