I'm quite cognizant that it's difficult to make a living with creative writing, so I'm trying to find a career that is relevant to writing. I've perused various amounts of writing careers, but I'm quite indecisive of the career I should follow until I embark onto a successful writing enterprise. Any suggestions?

I am thinking about becoming a writer. I am curious to which career or careers in writing have the highest salary, and what some job titles of writers are. Please include all types of writers. (Newspapers, magazines, books, internet, etc.)

I know that people can write novels or screenplays but what are some other careers where I could get paid to create / write my own stories / plots? I don't want to work with non-fiction. Thnx.

My cousin lives in Atlanta and she writes for entertainment magazines. She gets to write reviews on parties and she interviews celebrities. That sounds fun. Where would i have to live to be able to do that or to write travel reviews?

I am thinking of moonlighting or possibly a mid-life career change (currently a computer software engineer). When in school, I loved writing papers that proved a point by collecting research in subjects like Sociology and Political Science. I also liked writing more objective papers by gathering and presenting research on a given topic in subjects like Psychology and Biology. Any ideas on careers, moonlighting gigs or even hobbies where I could use these skills?
