Writing an article about choosing a career path?

I attend a community technical college, where I am writing an article for the school newspaper. The topic is choosing a career path. The age group of students ranges from 18-60, so the article has to catch the interest of people right out of high school, and people re-entering the work world. I have a few websites to offer for career tests. What I'm asking for from you is just some life experiences with changing majors, why people chose the major they're in, if they're happy with what they're doing, what motivates you to get back into the work world, or re-educate yourself... any other ideas would be greatly accepted. Thank you for your time and input!

Answer 1

I always wanted to be a designer when I was in high school. When I enrolled in college, I was still with the same major until I took a class that had to be taken in order to major in Design. I hated it so bad that I decided to change my major to engineering. I love math and always have. I still don't know which engineering though, but I know I'll be happy since it has a lot of math in it. I am 21 years old, and still confused on my major. I know it's engineering but dont know which one yet. For now, I'm taking general education classes.
