Which of these two languages is more useful for a career in Public Relations?

French or Spanish? Which of the two is more useful in the business/media/communication/public relations fields? I'm in my first year of university double majoring in communications and and I'm wondering which language to study as a second major. Thanks

All Answers To Questions

Answer 1

Spanish

Answer 2

there are more spanish speaking people then there are french if you live in the US

Answer 3

Will you be traveling to France, Canada, or West Africa, where French is dominant? If not, then I would recommend you study Spanish. The U.S. is becoming Spanish almost overnight and is increasing rapidly every day. They are estimating that there will be 100 million Spanish people here by the year 2050. You may not have a choice about learning Spanish. You may have to in order to survive. In Texas it is almost impossible to get any kind of a job without being able to speak Spanish.

Answer 4

If you intend to remain within America, Spanish is your best bet. Latino/Hispanic and other Spanish speakers account for a good portion of the country actually a quarter of the US population. If going overseas then I would say French primarily in Quebec of Canada, Belgium, Netherlands, France and some parts of the Caribbean as well as Africa speak french. I wish i knew spanish I would have a very well paying job by now thats for sure! I took French through out grade school :(
