crowdspring.com is one website I can think of. There are tons of websites where businesses post jobs they need and how much they'll pay, and employees will apply and hopefully win the job.

You may want to look at websites specifically for India because sometimes companies in the U.S. and other countries won't accept foreign candidates. Note: You must bid on jobs for Guru.com and Elance.com. Demand Studios is considered a content mill but it's a good start for you. If you don't have a blog/website start one. Companies will want to see samples of your writing. A blog will showcase your writing ability. What about writing for your school's newspaper? This is a great way to build your portfolio.
