I'm 16 years old, reside in India and want to pursue a part-time writing career. Where can I get a freelance writing job with decent pay?
All Answers To QuestionsAnswer 1
crowdspring.com is one website I can think of. There are tons of websites where businesses post jobs they need and how much they'll pay, and employees will apply and hopefully win the job. Answer 2
http://www.elance.com or http://www.freelancer.com are good ones that I've used before. They have TONS of writing jobs that you could try to take. Answer 3
Hello,
Check out the following places: Craigslist; Guru.com; Elance.com; Demand Studios; Examiner (pays based on performance -- I'm not sure if they're international, yet); Freelance Writing Gigs.com; Freelance Writing.com; iFreelance.com.
You may want to look at websites specifically for India because sometimes companies in the U.S. and other countries won't accept foreign candidates.
Note: You must bid on jobs for Guru.com and Elance.com. Demand Studios is considered a content mill but it's a good start for you.
If you don't have a blog/website start one. Companies will want to see samples of your writing. A blog will showcase your writing ability. What about writing for your school's newspaper? This is a great way to build your portfolio. You'll need to create a portfolio. Companies want to see clips and samples of work.
Good luck! Answer 4
