Public Relations career?

I am currently enrolling into colleges and i have always been interested in the communication field. Is the public relation field a good career? What are some public relation career options and can someone please explain to me (on a level that i can understand) what people in this career field actually do?

Answer 1

Just so you know, the field of Public Relations is very competitive. Early this year I had an internship with a PR company and there is alot involved wheny ou do PR. First of all, the purpose of your company is to promote a favorable opinion of your clients. You might have to promote parties for them, make press releases, and go with them to business meetings. If you are interested in marketing, aswell as communication then this is the field for you. Good luck and you will need to get an internship before you could ever think about applying for a job anywhere.
