The incredible part is getting to meet all kinds of people and to tell or help tell their stories. The potentially bad part is making sure you live your own story while you devote your time telling other people's. And, not everybody has a great story, but you still have to cover them. The money is not great, especially starting out and the hours (which can be early a.m. to early a.m. depending on the day or events) at a daily can keep you from having life with the rest of the world.
