Is freelance writing a solid career? Are there people who solely depend on freelance writing as a source of income?
All Answers To QuestionsAnswer 1
Well it all depends on how well your books sell. I suggest becoming a writing teacher who writes books on the side.
That's what I plan to do.

It's a really good career. I've researched into it b/c it allows more time at home and also allows you to become a published writer. Sadly, it doesn't provide a significant amount of money to sustain your family the first few years. If you find yourself growing creatively, outside of freelancing, you should think about writing a book. Your publisher may have connections with distributors to help you become an author. Your work will speak for itself so don't get side tracked. Develop relationships with publishers that use your work regularly, so you can spend more time writing on assignments and less time marketing yourself. I started as an editor for web copy for small internet news sites. Answer 3
It depends on the quality of your writing, whether someone likes it enough to keep paying good money for it, and other factors I can't think of. Answer 4
Yes you can, yes there are.
Yet this is no way a solid career. A freelance writer is always at the whim of the market and usually is barely scraping by. Most of the solid jobs are working for a single employer or working as an editor.
Not a lot of novelists are able to support themselves solely on their novels. Until that movie deal comes through with the burger king toy, most can't afford to just write. Answer 5
Try to be independent, don't write for money, but write for your self, I believe you could earn more money if you can build a blog and write articles for your own blog and earn from affiliate and sponsors. << GO BACK to questions
